Discover Scuba Diving

If you're not certain if scuba diving is for you, you can come with us for an introductory dive to see what all the hype is about! It only takes a half-day. After a short academic session and briefing, an instructor will help you into the gear, show you a few skills in the pool and then take you for a shallow dive on our house reef.

Scuba Review

Scuba Review is for those who are already certified, but who would like to have a refresher to sharpen their skills. You'll review the basics and practice safety and buoyancy skills under the instruction of a certified PADI instructor. Then, there is the option for an open water dive with the instructor as your buddy, during which you will rediscover the beauty of the underwater world. If you've been dry for a while, we recommend that you sign up for this course. Good safety skills protect you and good buoyancy skills protect our reef!

Open Water Diver

The Open Water Diver certification is the world's most popular dive program and is intended for the beginner who wants to learn the fundamentals of scuba diving. The course consists of knowledge development sessions and practical training exercises. Your Open Water Diver certification can be used worldwide as proof that you are capable of diving in a safe and responsible manner. A certified Open Water diver can dive with a buddy, unsupervised, to a maximum depth of 18 m/60 ft. The student begins in confined water and then puts what they have learned in the knowledge development sessions into practice in the magnificent open waters of Bonaire. The course fee includes equipment, materials and a logbook.

Open Water Referral

Those who have successfully completed the knowledge development and the confined-water sessions of the Open Water Diver Course with their local dive school can complete the 4 dive open-water portion of the certification in the waters around Bonaire. Please remember to bring all of your paperwork!

Open Water eLearning

If you're looking for a flexible way to fit a scuba certification into your busy schedule or if you just prefer web based learning, then PADI's online scuba courses are the way to go. You can get started immediately with scuba knowledge development and work at your own pace using the PADI eLearning system. Continued Education

Shore diving allows you the freedom to dive whenever you'd like. However, many of our divers are accustomed to diving with a Divemaster. Signing up for additional dive training is a great way to gain skills and confidence.

Advanced Open Water Diver or Adventure Diver

Get more comfortable in the water by completing five adventure dives for your Advanced certification under the supervision of an Instructor. If you're looking to build your confidence and gain more experience, this is the natural next. If you don't have much time, you can earn your Adventure Diver certification with only three adventure dives. Choose from any below:

Rescue Diver

Expand on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur. Learn techniques for self rescue, rescuing panicky divers and unresponsive divers. If you're going to take advantage of Bonaire's shore diving independence, this is a great way to become a safer diver.

Emergency First Response and Oxygen provider (also for non-divers)

In this course, you'll learn (or refresh) your Basic Life Support skills. We'll train you in CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), oxygen usage and what to do during life-threatening emergencies. If you haven't participated in a first aid course in two years or more, this is a pre-requisite course for Rescue Diver. The course consists of knowledge development sessions, skills training and realistic practice scenarios.

Divemaster

Working closely with an Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to a professional level. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

Assistant Instructor

As a PADI Instructor Development Center, our Instructors can provide Instructor-level training to you. Divemasters can move up the ladder towards Instructor status with the course and gain additional training and professional experience.

Interested in getting more bottom time? If you're already Nitrox certified, you can upgrade to unlimited 32% Nitrox for a small fee. If not, it's only a half-day course to earn your Nitrox certification.

SDI Solo Diver

Want to sharpen your skills? Tired of having to postpone a dive because you don't have a buddy? If you're an experienced diver with over 100 logged dives and Rescue certification, you can sign up for the most rewarding course of your dive career. Even if you have no desire to dive without a buddy, this course will show you how to be self-sufficient, independent and capable of handling any underwater situation.

TDI Technical Courses

For advanced divers, we also offer the TDI Technical courses, including:

• Intro to Tec: for the diver who wants to give diving in a full Tec suit a try;
• Advanced Nitrox: the continuation of the Nitrox course. Here, you will learn how to work with oxygen percentages up to 100%.
• Decompression Procedures: In this course, you learn to deal with materials and how to prepare for a decompression dive to a maximum depth of 45 m. / 135 feet
• Extended range: In this course, you learn how to plan and prepare for a dive using air of up to a maximum of 55 m / 165 feet.
