About Bonaire

Our all inclusive resort is located at the most beautiful place of Bonaire: directly at the sea where you can snorkel from the beach and admire one of the most beautiful reefs of the island. From the resort you have a beautiful view of Klein Bonaire.

Our resort is only 5 minutes from the airport, and only 5 minutes from our cozy capital Kralendijk, with nice restaurants, shops and bars. Various places of interest such as Washington Slagbaai, Gotomeer, Mangroves, Rincon and Salt Pans are all just 15 minutes from the resort. You can also visit the beautiful uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire by boat.

Bonaire is not called the Pearl of the Caribbean for nothing. This beautiful tropical island in the clear blue Caribbean Sea belongs to the ABC islands and is located just off the coast of Venezuela.

Gotomeer

Lake Goto is Bonaire's largest saltwater lake and is located in Washington Slagbaai National Park. With hundreds of flamingos visiting the lake regularly, Lake Goto is also known as the meeting place for Caribbean flamingos. The ideal way to get a closer look at these beautiful animals.

Mangroves

Discover the most beautiful pieces of nature during your stay at Plaza Beach & Dive Resort Bonaire? You will do so during a visit to the mangrove forest of Lac Bay. This special place is not known for its beautiful nature for nothing. Enjoy these special surroundings during a kayak tour or a (mid) day of snorkelling.

In the north-west of Bonaire you will find Rincon, Bonaire's oldest village. A special feature of Rincon is the views over both the east and west sides of the Caribbean Sea. In addition, the history of the village with many old traditions, festivities and customs is also admirable.

Salt pans

A special feature of Bonaire is the fact that salt pans on Bonaire arise naturally from seawater. The island is not known as the ideal island for salt extraction for nothing. Would you like to experience this special phenomenon up close? Then travel to the southern part of Bonaire and visit the salt pans. A special day out on Bonaire and great to combine with a stay at Plaza Beach & Dive Resort Bonaire.

Besides the beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water and the many palm trees, the rich history also makes Bonaire a unique holiday island. For example, did you know that Bonaire was a major hub of the Dutch slave trade? To this day, this can be admired all over the island. This powerful reminder of Bonaire's past can be found in Bonaire's many slave houses.

Bonaire has over 400 impressive caves that are well worth visiting. Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit all caves, but you can visit some with a guide. The experienced guide can tell you everything about the origin and function of the caves. In some caves, you can even snorkel.

The name says it all, but at the Pink Brine Lake you will find a unique, bright pink lake. The combination of bright pink with the azure-blue waters of the sea has made it one of Bonaire's most visited attractions. With a bit of luck, you might also spot one of the graceful flamingos that can regularly be found in the lake.

Are you an animal lover? Then a visit to Bonaire's Donkey Sanctuary might be for you. Donkey Sactuary is home to hundreds of adorable donkeys on Bonaire. At the park, you have the opportunity to ride around and feed the animals. You can also adopt a donkey of your own. A unique outing on Bonaire!

With its colourful houses, this colourful capital of Bonaire is ideal for making the perfect picture. And the shopping streets and cosy markets stand for hours of shopping fun. The ideal place to pick up a nice souvenir from Bonaire.

Is visiting an uninhabited island still on your bucket list? Then you can tick it off with a visit to Klein Bonaire; a small island with no inhabitants or facilities. Its pristine nature will return you to a truly uninhabited island. In addition, it is one of the best places for diving and snorkelling.
