Christmas and New Year's Culinary Program
Plaza Resort Bonaire
It is with great pleasure that we present to you our 2009/2010 Christmas and New Year's Culinary
Program.
To celebrate Christmas Season on a Tropical Island such as Bonaire is of course an experience in itself. No
"dark Christmas days", no fog or ice pellets, no snow, but mostly only sunshine and a brilliant blue sky,
with daily temperatures of 32 °C and evening temperatures of 27 °C, the ideal setting for a culinary feast
with your family and/or friends.
We hope that this brochure will give you a clear overview of our activities. If you have any further
questions or a different request, please do not hesitate to contact us.
To be of extra service to you and also to avoid disappointments in these busy times, two of our
colleagues are responsible for all the restaurant reservations. For that reason, Mrs. Caroline Scholts from
Guest Services is available on weekdays between 8.30 AM and 5 PM at the Reception. Her extension
is 8177. You can reach Caroline by email at carolinescholts@plazaresortbonaire.com.
Also Mrs. Yvonne van de Weteringe Buys from our food & beverage department can be contacted at

Both ladies will also take reservations for the visit of Santa Claus, who will visit our youngest
guests on Christmas Day at 4 PM.

On December 24, a la carte dining at the Tipsy Seagull is not possible.

Santa Claus Visits Plaza Resort Bonaire

These are busy days for Santa Claus.
On his sled pulled by reindeers, he
visits children worldwide. Luckily,
we were successful once more to
make an appointment with Santa
Claus.
He will be arriving on the
25th, just past four o'clock in the
afternoon to visit children up to
eleven years old that are guests at
the Plaza Resort Bonaire during this
time. Of course parents are
welcome as well! Kids will be
surprised with a soft drink and a
little present.
Admittance is free of
charge only for those kids staying as
guests in our hotel. For non
residents, we charge ANG 15 per
child. RSVP at the Guest Services
desk, extension 8177.

New Year's Dive!

Come and join us in a real Dutch
tradition. Every January 1st, tens of
thousand swimmers take a dive in
the ice cold North sea to celebrate
the beginning of the new year.
Here on Bonaire we do the same.
Like in Holland this event is
sponsored by Dutch sausage maker
UNOX and we expect a bunch of
swimmers to join us.
Participation is free of charge and
we will serve real Dutch delights
like the UNOX sausage, green pea
soup, haring and more.
You must try a glass of traditional
Dutch Gin, sponsored by our local
broker Harbourtown Real Estate.
