The main building
The central heart of the resort
Van der Valk Plaza Resort Bonaire is in full development. The resort has undergone a clear transformation recently and continues to refine itself further. Today, you can already experience a large part of this renewal, while work behind the scenes continues on the future.
The main building now forms the central heart of the resort. Here you will find, among other things, restaurant Momento, where a refined live cooking buffet is served daily. Fresh fish, sushi, and homemade pasta are prepared à la minute, with a view of the Caribbean Sea and Klein Bonaire.
Also located in the main building are the Trento and Sea & Sense boutiques. Trento offers a carefully curated collection of fashion and lifestyle products. Sea & Sense focuses on diving, snorkeling, and mobility, with personal advice and direct service.
In addition, the resort features Toucan Diving, the resort's own five-star PADI dive school. Both novice and experienced divers can come here for guidance, rental, and unique diving experiences around Bonaire.
The resort's infrastructure is also being further improved. Recently, a new parking lot has been realized, allowing guests to park comfortably and close to the central facilities of the resort.
Piazza Limone
A recent addition
A recent addition is Piazza Limone. As soon as you enter this charming square, you will discover two vibrant places where taste and relaxation come together.
On one side is Ciao Bella, the pizza restaurant where fresh pizzas with Italian influences are central. Classic recipes and surprising combinations are prepared here with care.
On the other side is Dolce Vita. Here you can enjoy cocktails, wine, or a good glass of your choice in a relaxed setting. Ideal for an aperitif or a long evening in good company.
Together these locations form the beating heart of Piazza Limone. A place for hotel guests and visitors from outside.
Renovated suites and ongoing renovations
Your stay
In the area of accommodation, the introduction of the Royal Residence has set a new standard. These modern apartments, available with one or two bedrooms, feature a fully equipped kitchen and offer space and comfort. The penthouses occupy an entire floor and combine privacy with panoramic views of the sea and island.
The Royal Residence also features an infinity pool and the Beso Bar, where tranquility and service come together.
The resort has several pools, a private beach, and its own marina spread across the grounds. This allows guests to experience the relaxed atmosphere Bonaire is known for at any time of the day.
Significant steps have also been taken in the area of relaxation and vitality. The ARA Gym is fully equipped with modern equipment. The Senti Spa will open in 2026, offering a headspa, manicure treatments, and sauna, among other things.
For families and active guests, the resort also offers various activities and watersports options through the Activity Center.
The renovation of the rooms is in full swing. A large part of the offerings have already been updated and match the current style of the resort. At this moment, the last room types are being addressed.
Our Grand Suites and Junior Suites Pool have not yet been updated. If you choose these room types, we emphasize that they are not yet fully aligned with our new style. Of course, they are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all conveniences.
We are in a beautiful transition: from the trusted past to an elegant and forward-looking style. A style that becomes tangible and visible in every corner of the resort.
