The renovation of our Junior Suites to the new King Pool Suites was fully completed in July 2026. These stylish, renovated suites are now available and offer our guests even more space and luxury during their stay.
The main building
The central heart of the resort
Van der Valk Plaza Resort Bonaire is in full development. The resort has undergone a clear transformation recently and continues to refine itself further. You can already experience a large part of this renewal today, while work behind the scenes continues for the future.
The main building now forms the central heart of the resort. Here you will find, among other things, restaurant Momento, where a refined live cooking buffet is served daily. Fresh fish, sushi, and homemade pasta are prepared à la minute, with a view of the Caribbean Sea and Klein Bonaire.
Also located in the main building are the boutiques Trento and Sea & Sense. Trento offers a carefully curated collection of fashion and lifestyle products. Sea & Sense focuses on diving, snorkeling, and mobility, with personal advice and direct service.
In addition, the resort features Toucan Diving, the resort's own five-star PADI dive school. Both novice and experienced divers can go here for guidance, rental, and unique diving experiences around Bonaire.
The resort's infrastructure is also being further improved. Recently, a new parking lot has been realized, allowing guests to comfortably park close to the central facilities of the resort.
Piazza Limone
A recent addition
A recent addition is Piazza Limone. As soon as you enter this atmospheric square, you discover two lively places where taste and relaxation come together.
On one side is Ciao Bella, the pizzeria where fresh pizzas with Italian influences take center stage. Classic recipes and surprising combinations are prepared here with attention.
On the other side, you will find Dolce Vita. Here you can enjoy cocktails, wine, or a good glass of your choice in a relaxed setting. Ideal for an aperitif or a long evening in good company.
Together, these locations form the beating heart of Piazza Limone. A place for hotel guests and visitors from outside.
Renovated suites and ongoing renovations
Your stay
The introduction of the Royal Residence has set a new standard in the area of accommodation. These modern apartments, available with one or two bedrooms, feature a fully equipped kitchen and offer space and comfort. The penthouses occupy a full floor and combine privacy with panoramic views over the sea and island.
The Royal Residence also features an infinity pool and the Beso Bar, where tranquility and service come together.
The resort is also home to several swimming pools, a private beach, and its own marina. This allows guests to experience the relaxed atmosphere for which Bonaire is known at any time of the day.
Important steps have also been taken in the area of relaxation and vitality. The ARA Gym is fully equipped with modern equipment. In the course of 2027, the Senti Spa will open. Here, among other things, a head spa, manicure treatments, and sauna will be realized.
For families and active guests, the resort also offers various activities and water sports options through the Activity Center.
The renovation of the rooms is in full swing. A large part of the offer has already been renewed and aligns with the current style of the resort. At the moment, the last room types are being addressed.
We are in a beautiful transition: from the familiar past to an elegant and future-oriented style. A style that becomes palpable and visible in every corner of the resort.
