6 tips for your visit to Rincón

Rincón is located inland in the northwest of Bonaire and is the oldest village on the island. The location in a green valley provides a different landscape than along the coast and gives the village a distinctly unique character. In the village, you will find historical buildings, local shops, and places where traditions have been visible in everyday life for generations.

From Kralendijk, you can reach Rincón in about a half-hour drive. The village is not a destination centered on one specific attraction, but about the overall picture.

1. Combine Rincón with other places in the north

A visit to Rincón can be excellently combined with other highlights in the north of Bonaire. If you drive via the west coast, a stop at 1000 Steps or Goto Lake is obvious. Especially Goto Lake forms a nice contrast with Rincón, with its open landscape and the great chance to see flamingos.

If you plan a day to Washington Slagbaai National Park, Rincón is a pleasant stopover. The village is conveniently located on the route and is a nice place to step out, have a drink, or walk around before you drive further. This way, Rincón does not become a separate excursion, but a natural part of your exploration of the northern part of Bonaire.

3. Taste something truly local at Cadushy Distillery

The Cadushy Distillery in Rincón is a special place where you can get acquainted with the local cactus liqueur.
