Arrival at Flamingo Airport

Bonaire International Airport, better known as Flamingo Airport, has the airport code BON and is located near Kralendijk. The airport is about 2 kilometers from Plaza Resort Bonaire. By car, you reach the resort in about ten minutes.

After landing, follow the signs for passport control and Visitor Entry Tax check. Keep your passport and personal QR code handy. Then collect your luggage and, where applicable, pass through customs. Always follow the current signs and instructions from airport staff.

With the Plaza airport transfer to the resort

Want to reach the resort without searching? Then reserve the Plaza transfer service in advance. The transfer runs both from the airport to the resort and from the resort to the airport.

• $12 per person per one way trip.

• Mention your name, flight number, arrival or departure time, and the number of passengers.

• The appointment is final once you receive a confirmation.

By taxi

Official taxi stands are outside the arrival hall. According to Bonaire International Airport, you will find them on the left after exiting the terminal.

A taxi is suitable when no transfer has been reserved. Availability can be limited around multiple simultaneous arrivals. For extra certainty, booking in advance is advisable.

Pick up a rental car

Anyone wanting to explore Bonaire independently can pick up a rental car at the airport. Preferably reserve in advance and check where to report, what documents are needed, and the applicable deposit and insurance.

On Bonaire, you drive on the right. A rental car is practical when visiting beaches, nature areas, and dive sites. For Washington Slagbaai National Park and certain unpaved routes, a car with sufficient ground clearance or a pick-up may be necessary.

Transfer, taxi, or rental car?

• Plaza transfer: the most relaxed choice when you want to go directly to the resort. Reservation in advance is necessary.

• Taxi: flexible without reservation, but availability can be limited.

• Rental car: convenient when you want to explore the island independently from day one.
